The Gospel Truth - Sermon: The Rush to Kill the Middle Class
Pin It Now!
The Preacher
We are witnessing the organized murder of the middle class, as we watch our government and the media protect and entrench the ultra wealthy. We are listening to the demise of "E Pluribus Unum" and "In God We Trust." We are witnessing the systematic rape of Liberty.
Romans 13:7
Give everyone what you owe him: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
1 Timothy 5:18
For the scripture says, "Do not muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain," and "The worker deserves his wages."
Abraham Lincoln
"Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration."
Thomas Jefferson
A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned -- this is the sum of good government."
Adam Smith
"Labour was the first price, the original purchase - money that was paid for all things. It was not by gold or by silver, but by labour, that all wealth of the world was originally purchased."
Henry George
"Poorly paid labor is inefficient labor, the world over."
John Locke
"All wealth is the product of labor."
Sophocles
"Without labor nothing prospers."
Alice Adams
"When you say fiscal responsibility, it seems to me that you really mean rich people keeping their money."
Thomas Donahue
"The only effective answer to organized greed is organized labor."
Frederick Douglass
"Power concedes nothing without a demand; it never has and it never will."
Woody Guthrie
"Some men rob you with a six-gun -- others rob you with a fountain pen."

The Gospel Truth - Preacher Meets Particle Physics
Pin It Now!
It is good a philosopher should remind himself, now and then,
that he is a particle pontificating on infinity.
